Short Bio
Ana M obtained her PhD in 2011 from the University of Granada. After a postdoctoral stay at the University of Bayreuth (Germany), she joined the NToSP group. Since 2022, she is Associate Professor at the Department of Atomic, Molecular, and Nuclear Physics at the University of Seville. Her current research deals with atmospheric-pressure plasmas (packed-bed reactors, DBDs, gliding arc, microreactors…) for generating valuable chemicals or inducing the decomposition of wastes and contaminants, as well as the understanding and description of the physical mechanisms involved in these processes. Her main research topics can be summarized as follows:
- Plasma driven chemical processes. Plasma-catalysis
- Atmospheric-pressure plasmas for seed treatment
- Surface treatment by atmospheric pressure plasma
- Design and construction of new plasma reactor with applications in medicine and agriculture
